The event, sponsored by Pfizer Inc. and the School of Medicine, featured prominent African-American religious leaders and former NFL players, who were screened for heart disease.
All were encouraged to help educate members of the African-American community, which is disproportionately prone to risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
